Is there anyway with LND to cooperatively close a channel when a peer comes online automatically rather than a forced close? A mobile peer with a very small amount of coin is connected to a routing node I run and is only very rarely online. I'm wonder if there is a script to monitor when the channel is open and send a cooperative close request.
@lizard I've just closed channels to nodes that were not online. If your not sending out a previous state closure then you shouldn't have to worry about an uncooperative close. Now I would consider who opened the channel and if there are enough sats on the opening side to cover the fees of said closure.
This server was setup as a means to decentralize the Bitcoin social networking community in a small way. I came from bitcoinhackers.org. The administrator there felt that the users should create their own Mastodon instances to keep the community decentralized so I created this instance.
