question for the technical here. Is there anything in the works for lightning routing to make it so a sender can see that a channel has a sufficient balance on the side of the channel required for the payment to succeed BEFORE attempting the payment? As I understand it the sender can only find out by actually attempting to send the payment if a channel has the required sending liquidity. The sender then keeps sending through different routes until it succeeds.

This server was setup as a means to decentralize the Bitcoin social networking community in a small way. I came from The administrator there felt that the users should create their own Mastodon instances to keep the community decentralized so I created this instance.
